Eight-Day Exam Recently Held at the CIA’s Hyde Park Campus in the Hudson Valley Awards 3 CIA Graduates Highest Honor
Twelve Certified Executive Chefs® met at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) on Saturday, October 23 to begin the grueling eight-day American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified Master Chef® exam.
Those who successfully completed the exam the following Saturday were named ACF Certified Master Chef (C.M.C.). Five chefs, including three CIA graduates, can now add these prestigious initials after their names on their business cards. With the addition of Chefs Beland, Dumont, and Mancuso, the CIA boasts 23 alumni among the 66 C.M.C.s.
